Phillips Preiss' Redevelopment Plans for a Waterfront Site in Bogota, NJ and the Wellmont Theatre Area in Downtown Montclair Are Being Implemented

Bogota and Montclair, New Jersey retained Phillips Preiss to prepare redevelopment plans for key sites in each municipality, which are now being implemented. In Bogota, redevelopment of a former Hess Oil tank farm and neighboring parcels on the Hackensack River for a mixed-used development is moving ahead, as described in this article. Phillips Preiss prepared the redevelopment study for a portion of this site as well as the redevelopment plan for the overall property, and reviewed the development application on behalf of the Bogota Planning Board. The firm also prepared a redevelopment plan for a portion of downtown Montclair which includes the well-known Wellmont Theater. The Seymour Street Redevelopment Plan was honored with an award from New Jersey Planning Officials. It is now being implemented through an investment of $135 million by the property owners.
